would like to let you know just how we have been getting away with
the said Copyright Infringement for the duration of this (and many other) site(s)!
About 9 months before TSR was sold to WoTC, we had obtained permission from those whom could
grant us such to post the Official TSR Creations alongside with our very own creations.We had also asked (since TSR had dropped Star Frontiers® so many years ago, and it had
since not been in any re-prints what-so-ever) if we could create CD-ROMs with all the TSR original
items and maybe throw in a section with all of the FANS' creations as well.TSR granted us such permission with one condition:
Limit the CDs to the number of the Individuals who were currently subscribed to the
ListServ Message base system (only one running at that point in time) plus a few more for
prosperity reasons .. +1 ..The +1 was to be sent to TSR themselves so they would be able to have one for
their own Archives .. and would also be able to post the items on their own Internet Web Site
when the time had allowed them to.9 Months later, WoTC bought TSR .. and at that point and time we had asked permission
of WoTC to be able to register www.starfrontiers.com - Permission was granted in order to keep
the good faith between Ourselves and TSR as well as the new owners of TSR - namely WoTC.Some years later, Hasbro purchased WoTC and we have yet to receive replies from anyone
at Hasbro in regards to the TSR and WoTC issues.Recently, however, someone from an Internet Gaming Company found out that we have been
running this site and (without even asking us about it) turned us over to WoTC, threatened
us and have also stated that they have turned us over to the FBI.So, unfortunatly, we here at SF.COM have had to temporarily take down certain areas of the
web site in order to get everything sorted out with said companies (TSR/WoTC/Hasbro/SF.COM) so
we can get this put behind us and hopefully get everything back up and running for you, the fans,
so you can still learn and help us rebuild the best (lost) SciFi RPG of all times!Sincerely,
The WebmasterOn 1 OCT 2001, I received the Offical OK to RE-ADD the links that I had to remove previously
as stated above. I was given rights to post the Official Rules / Modules from the original
Star Frontiers® RPG (Originally lisenced under TSR). I was given such permission until WoTC or
Hasbro sees fit to ask me to remove those links under our letter of agreement for their own Company
Policy reasons (not discussed in public forum)
Items you will NOT find here .. anything NOT related to the Star Frontiers® RPG.
Any items from any of the SciCon's due to the author's still retain those rights and normally
have those items on their own web pages - which are linked form herein the webring section.
